I have made several trips to Raleigh over the past couple years. Some have been drinking weekends with the guys while others are a hockey game with my wife. Somehow I had not gone to Raleigh Beer Garden until last weekend. If you love beer, variety, and beers on tap this is the place for you.
The upstairs bar alone has well over 100 taps. They run the length of the bar 4 taps high. All of the beers upstairs are from "The world" (anywhere except NC) and the bar downstairs features "Local beers." There is also a very nice liquor bar downstairs as well.
"My friends and I could set up shop in here for a full day just trying all of their wonderful beers" A-Train Taylor
The interior is nicely decorated and enough TVs that you can keep track of your favorite game. The outside portion looks great for when the weather warms up. A 5 star must visit for anyone who loves to turn the beer up.
Raleigh Beer Garden can be found at:
614 Glenwood Avenue
Raleigh NC 27603

When we heard about the Raleigh Beer Garden last year, we knew this was a must visit beer destination. Beer Up is no stranger to Raleigh and it is a yearly tradition to visit this beer hotspot. The Raleigh Beer Garden has two Guinness world records to its credit including most varieties of beer and tap and most breweries on tap. Luckily this past week one of our contributors, Aaron Taylor AKA "A-Train" was able to weigh in on this marvel of beer consumption and give us the lowdown in this featured contributor article.
