Since 2012, Ales for ALS has offered a proprietary blend of hops to over 100 American craft breweries, free of charge, in exchange for their participation in the Ales for ALS program. One dollar from every pint of Ales for ALS beer sold is donated directly to the ALS Therapy Development Institute, the world's first and largest nonprofit biotech focused 100 percent on ALS research. Led by people living with ALS and their families, ALS TDI understands the urgent need to slow and stop this disease.
Bob’s Brew 2016 is brewed in honor of Bob Murtaugh who lost his battle with ALS, but who’s gentle yet spirited nature lives on and resonates in the mellow, bright flavors of this brew. Andrea’s Ale 2016 is brewed to honor our friend and ALS warrior Andrea Lytle Peet. Fresh mango brings a refreshing tropical character to this session pale ale. Both incorporate the proprietary blend of experimental hop varietals selected by some of the best brewers in America and supplied by Loftus Ranch and Hopunion.
Andrea Lytle Peet will join us at Hardywood at 5PM to celebrate this release and share her experience with ALS, the measures she is taking to fight for a cure and to meet supporters of this incredible cause.
Hardywood will open on Friday, July 1 from 4-10PM with live music at 5:30 from The Difference Machine, GULL and OHBLIV. 16 oz. cans of Bob’s Brew 2016 and Andrea’s Ale 2016 will be available for guests to enjoy on site, or purchase in 4-packs to go while supplies last. Both ALS beers are available at the brewery only.
